Randy Dobnak threw seven scoreless innings as the Royals blanked the Twins 4-0 in Minnesota. Dobnak earned his first win. Tyler Tolbert homered for KC, which has won three of four. Joe Ryan allowed all four runs in six frames as he fell to 6-and-7. The Twins saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.

The Timberwolves are announcing a new TV broadcast home following the collapse of FanDuel Sports Network. Games will be exclusively streamed on London-based streaming platform DAZN [[da-ZONE]] this upcoming 2026 season. The team-branded subscription service will launch later this summer. Fifteen free Wolves games will be offered, and fans can access them by creating a free account on DAZN. The full package has not yet been announced. DAZN will offer several Wolves subscription options, including a Season Pass and monthly plans. The deal could be short-lived. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has mentioned the league hopes to launch a streaming hub for local broadcasts starting with the 2027 season.

In WNBA action tonight, the Minnesota Lynx visit the Toronto Tempo. The Lynx just beat the Tempo 100-93 at home on Tuesday for their eighth straight win. Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever visit the Portland Fire tomorrow.

The WWE’s SummerSlam is scheduled to take place this weekend at U.S. Bank Stadium. The pro wrestling event will take place on Saturday and Sunday. There will be three competitors with Minnesota ties with matches at SummerSlam. Tiffany Stratton from Prior Lake, former Gopher Brock Lesnar and St. Michael native Chas Betts, known to fans as Chad Gable. Minneapolis missed out on hosting the WWE’s largest annual bash WrestleMania in 2025 when Las Vegas was awarded the event for a second consecutive year.
