WATONWAN COUNTY HAS 11 NEW CASES. TOTAL CONFIRMED 1,049. ACTIVE 13. CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED 10. TOTAL HOSPITITALIZATIONS 51.OUT OF ISOLATION 1,029. COVID RELATED DEATHS 7.

Minnesota Health Officials reported Monday that 980 new cases of the coronavirus and 4 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 5,711 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 3,655 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 437,552 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year.  Of those, 417,005 people no longer need to self isolate.

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 1 more Iowan had died from COVID-19 and 425 new coronavirus cases have been reported.

The data shows there have been 4,139 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 1,680 were residents of long term care facilities.

The new cases raise the statewide total of positive tests to 296,866.  Of those who’ve tested positive, the state considers 256,151 to be recovered from the virus.
