HIGHWAY 15 CRASH
AN IOWA WOMAN WAS INJURED IN A TWO VEHICLE CRASH SOUTH OF FAIRMONT THURSDAY AFTERNOON. ACCORDING TO THE MINNESOTA STATE PATROL REPORT A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY 25 YEAR-OLD MICALA MAE JANSSEN OF LAKOTA, NORTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY 15, CROSSED THE CENTER LINE AND COLLIDED WITH A FREIGHTLINER SEMI TRACTOR DRIVEN SOUTHBOUND BY 44 YEAR OLD TERA LILWAUN BLAIR OF CHICAGO IN SLIVER LAKE TOWNSHIP A COUPLE OF MILES NORTH OF THE STATE LINE. MICALA JANSSEN WAS TRANSPORTED BY GOLD CROSS AMBULANCE TO THE MAYO CLINIC HEALTH SYSTEM-FAIRMONT FOR TREATMENT OF UNDISCLOSED BUT NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES ACCORDING TO THE REPORT. TERA BLAIR SUFFERED NO APPARENT INJURY. MARTIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND THE FAIRMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT ASSISTED THE STATE PATROL AT THE SCENE OF THE CRASH SHORTLY AFTER 1 PM ON THURSDAY.
