At 8:30am Monday morning, the Estherville Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in Casey‘s West on Central Ave.
Fire Chief Travis Sheridan reported no sign of smoke upon arrival, but stated that the incident may have been caused by a malfunctioning soda machine.
Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately 40 minutes.
No further details have been released.
