THE MARTIN COUNTY BOARD ON TUESDAY DEVOTED A PART OF THEIR MEETING TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDERS FOR THE COURTHOUSE DOME RESTORATION PROJECT AND NEW GARAGE STORAGE FACILITY . THE ORDERS PUT AN ADDITIONAL COST OF JUST $50,000 ON THE DOME PROJECT. A CHANGE ORDER FOR THE COUNTY’S GARAGE STORAGE FACILITY INCLUDED A $56,000 PLUS COST ON THE INSTALLATION OF FLOOR DRAINS AND AND SEWER HOOKUP. AN ADDITIONAL ALMOST $20,000 COST FOR PAINTING THE EXTERIOR OF THE FACILITY ON NORTH STATE STREET WAS APPROVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS .
THE BOARD ALSO CONSIDERED QUOTES FOR ROOF REPAIR, PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF LIGHTING FIXTURES AND HEATING UNITS FOR THE GARAGE STORAGE FACILITY AT TUESDAY’S MEETING.
THE MARTIN COMMISSIONERS TUESDAY APPROVED A CONFIDENTIALLY REQUEST FORM FOR CERTAIN MARTIN COUNTY CRIMINAL JUSTICE PERSONNEL TO HAVE THEIR PARCELS REMOVED FROM THE BEACON(PUBLIC FACING) WEBSITE. BY GRANTING THIS SUPPRESSION THE ASSESSOR’S OFFICE IS NOT WITHHOLDING ANY PUBLIC DATA. IT IS STILL AVAILABLE THROUGH ALL METHODS, JUST NOT SEARCHABLE BY NAME ON BEACON BY THOSE WHO HAVE REQUESTED IT.
COMMISSIONERS APPROVED A T Z D ENFORCEMENT GRANT OF $13,100. THEY ALSO APPROVED AN AGREEMENT WITH MN DOT FOR LIGHTING SYSTEMS AT THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 15 AND COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY 32.
