The Martin County Board held their first preliminary 2021 budget workshop. The first look at the budget has a 7.28% levy increase for 2021 amounting to $1,245,427 dollars. Commissioners stress that this is only a starting point and hope to whittle that amount down before deciding on a proposed preliminary budget for approval in September. The final budget figures will be ratified in December.

Accepted the resignation of Adam Hinz, Assistant County Attorney, effective August 14, 2020.
Accepted the resignation of Laura Odgren, Deputy Assessor, effective August 18, 2020.
Approved Adopting the Martin County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Approved revisions to Martin County’s Preparedness Policy Plan, effective August 4, 2020.
Approved the final contract payment for the JD #51 Improvement Project with Koehl Excavating, LLC from Hancock, MN in the amount of $57,199.03.
Approved purchase of a used 2002 CAT Model PS105B Rubber Tire Roller with 1,420 hours from CAT Ziegler in the amount of $28,500 – Highway Department.
Approved cleaning services contract with Voss Cleaning Services.
