FURTHER TWEAKING OF THE 2021 MARTIN COUNTY BUDGET BROUGHT THE PROPOSED LEVY DOWN FROM A 7.28 PER CENT INCREASE TO 3.07 % OR $525,000. TOTAL PROPOSED LEVY RIGHT NOW IS $17,637,898 DOLLARS. AUDITOR TREASURER JESSICA KORTE AND THE COMMISSIONERS SAY MORE WORK WILL BE DONE ON CHISELING THAT AMOUNT DOWN BEFORE PRELIMINARY PROPOSED BUDGET IS APPROVED BY MID SEPTEMBER.
THE MARTIN COUNTY BOARD ON TUESDAY APPROVED A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION COORDINATING COUNCIL PHASE 2 IMPLEMETATION EFFORT. THE PURPOSE IS TO COORDINATE THE PROVISION OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR THE COUNTIES OF MARTIN,FARIBAULT,WATONWAN,BLUE EARTH,BROWN,NICOLLET ,LESUEUR AND WASECA IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA.
COMMISSIONERS ASLO APPROVED A PERMIT AND ROAD USE AGREEMENT FOR THE HUNTLEY-WILMARTH POWERLINE PROJECT IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF THE COUNTY IN NASHVILLE TOWNSHIP ALONG THE MARTIN-FARIBAULT COUNTY LINE.
