The City of Fairmont tree dump and compost area is in poor condition due to wet weather and frost boils. Also, the township road (100th Street) leading out to this area has frost boil conditions that make driving difficult. Please no large trucks. If you have to use this area put the material as close to the existing piles as possible. Please consider these conditions when planning your spring projects. We are trying to keep the area accessible to everyone but if conditions continue to worsen we may have to close it until conditions improve.
