THE FAIRMONT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ON MONDAY APPROVED GATHERING REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS FOR REAL ESTATE BROKER SERVICES FOR WHITETAIL RIDGE PROPERTIES. THE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT JUST SOUTH OF THE SOCCER FIELD HAS 10 PROPERTIES THAT HAVE BEEN PURCHASED SO FAR BUT MOVEMENT THEIR HAS SLOWED DOWN. FAIRMONT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR LINSEY PRUESS HOPED THIS MOVE WOULD KICKSTART INTEREST THE DEVELOPMENT. SHE IS HOPING FOR LOCAL REALTORS LISTING THE PROPERTIES TO HELP.
THE BOARD APPROVED A MEMBERSHIP IN THE COMMUNITY VENTURE NETWORK THAT WOULD HOPEFULLY GATHER SOME INTEREST FROM TWIN CITIES AREA PROSPECTS WHO MAY HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF CURRENT BUSINESS CLIMATE DUE TO UNREST THERE. THE COST IS $2,500 FOR THE MEMBERSHIP.
LINSEY PRUESS REPORTED TO THE FAIRMONT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THAT THE CENSUS 2020 EFFORTS HAVE REACHED THE DOOR TO DOOR KNOCKING STAGE THAT IS COMING SOON. LINSEY STATES THAT THE LOCAL SELF RESPONSE RATE TO THE CENSUS IS AT 72 PER CENT AND THAT THE STATE OF MINNESOTA RANKS NEAR THE TOP NATIONWIDE.
