A Le Center man has been charged in Faribault County District Court with felony criminal vehicular operation following a collision between a pick-up truck and a motorcycle last week..
Authorities were called to a motorcycle crash on highway 109, west of Delavan early last thursday morning. 36 year old Tyler Neal of Delavan was found lying in the road, with significant injuries. There was no other vehicle at the crash scene, but a license plate was discovered the plate was registered to a pick up truck owned by Andrew Holm. The pick up was found abandoned on County Road 13. The county K-9 police dog found holm hiding in a field about 200 yards away.
Holm admitted that he had been smoking marijuana in the pick-up,but claimed someone else had been driving the vehicle. The keys to the pick up were found in Holm’s pocket, along with drug paraphernalia.
A blood sample was taken from Andrew Holm; results are still pending..
His next court appearance is scheduled for August 5th..
