With the expected peak still days or weeks away, Health Officials in Minnesota said Thursday the state has 742 positive Coronavirus tests and 18 deaths linked to the virus.

Freeborn County, which reported its first cases Wednesday, now has 5, Martin County reported 29 cases and Faribault County reported 2 confirmed cases.

The total approximate number of completed tests is 22,934 and the number of patients who no longer need isolation is up to 373, including 13 in Martin County.

The report also indicated 138 cases requiring hospitalization and 38 cases in the ICU across the state.

Gov. Tim Walz said a decision will likely come next week whether or not to extend the state’s stay at home order past April 10th.

 

Iowa Health Officials announced  that the state has 66 additional coronavirus cases and two more deaths.

Officials said the deaths are older adults from Linn County.

The state now has 11 deaths connected to the virus and 614 positive cases.

There have been a total 8,054 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Lab and other labs.

Total cases by county, Hancock has 3, Mitchell has 2, Kossuth had 1 and no cases reported in Winnebago County.
