The Minnesota Department of Health reported on Monday 717 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases in Minnesota is 70,298.
There have been 4 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the state’s death total at 1,771. Death among residents that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,313.
As of 11am Monday there were 310 people hospitalized, with 135 in intensive care.
A total of 63,059 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.
The Iowa Department of Public Health’s website shows 5 more Iowan have died from COVID-19 and 471 new cases of the virus have been diagnosed.
The number of positive tests is up to 56,584. Of those who have tested positive, 43,610 have recovered.
The data also shows there have been 1,039 deaths from the coronavirus in the state. Of those deaths, 555 were residents of long term care facilities. There are current outbreaks at 34 long term care facilities in Iowa.
As of Monday morning, there were 275 hospitalized patients with the virus, 86 of those patients are in intensive care with 39 of them on ventilators.
