WATONWAN COUNTY HAS 327 CONFIRMED CASES. 15 ACTIVE.311 RECOVERED.

Watonwan County is deeply saddened to report their first COVID-19 related death confirmed by the Minnesota Department of Health. An individual in their 80’s.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported on Wednesday 470 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.  The number of cases in Minnesota is 62,303.

There have been 12 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the death total at 1,678. Deaths among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,260.

As of 11am on Wednesday, there were 335 people hospitalized, with 154 in intensive care.

A total of 55,855 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.

The Iowa Department of Public Health’s website show 12 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 452 new cases have been reported.  The total number of positive tests is up to 49,634.

The data shows there have been 947 deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 508 were residents of long term care facilities.  There are currently outbreaks at 28 long term care facilities in Iowa.

There are 243 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state, 72 of those patients are in intensive care, with 25 of them on ventilators.
