Community Health and Human Service of Faribault and Martin Counties reported two new confirmed cases of the coronavirus today.  Both cases are in Martin County.

The number of confirmed cases in Faribault County remains at 75, with 4 active cases with one of those cases currently hospitalized.

In Martin County, the latest cases are a 53 year old and a 29 year old.  Both are currently isolating and recovering at home.  The number of confirmed cases in Martin County is now 198, with 13 active cases.

WATONWAN COUNTY HAS 297 CONFIRMED CASES. 12 ACTIVE. RECOVERED 285. CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED 3.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported Wednesday 681 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.  The total number of cases is 52,947.

There have been 9 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the death total at 1,589.Deaths among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increase to 1.216.

As of 11am on Wednesday, there were 310 people hospitalized, with 143 in ICU’s.

A total of 46,636 people have recovered state wide and no longer required isolation.

Three more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and more than 400 have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Iowa Department of Public Health’s website, there were 406 new positive test resultsfor COVID-19 in the 24 hours between 10am Tuesday and 10am Wednesday.

Those 406 new cases push the statewide total to 43,144 and 839 Iowans have now died from COVID-19.  Of those 456 were residents of long term care facilities.

There are 246 patients hospitalized with the virus in the state, 76 of those patients are in the ICU and 32 are on ventilators.

Of those who have tested positive for COVID-19, 31,195 of them are now recovered.
