Five more residents have died of the coronavirus according to the Minnesota Department of Health. The deaths reported on Wednesday raised the state’s total to 1,397, with 1,102 of the death occurring in long term care or assisted living facilities.
The health department also reported 304 new confirmed cases, increasing the state’s total to 33,763.
As of Wednesday, 340 patients were hospitalized, with 160 in intensive care. Across the state, a total of 39,707 patients no longer need isolation.
Faribault/Martin County Community Health says ”MDH is reporting 1 new case in Martin County , however this person resides in a different county. While we are not reporting any new cases today, we were made alert to several pending cases which will be announced in the coming days as soon as lab results are verified and added to our data system by MDH.

Watonwan County is reporting 173 confirmed cases. Active cases 70.Recovered cases 103. Currently known hopsitalized 5.
The Iowa Department of Health reported 2 new deaths from the coronavirus, that brings the state’s total to 690.
The Health Department also reported 255 new cases on Wednesday. The state’s total number of cases is 26,601.
A total of 268,434 people have been tested and 16,764 patients are recovering and no longer require isolation. A total of 140 patients are hospitalized statewide, with 43 in ICU’s.
