The Minnesota Department of Health reports 12 more residents have died of COVID-19.  The deaths reported on Wednesday raised the state’s total to 1,325; 1,051 of the deaths have occurred in long term care or assisted living facilities.

The Health Department also reported 419 new confirmed cases, increasing Minnesota’s total to 31,296.

As of Wednesday, 351 patients were hospitalized, with 181 in intensive care.

The number of new cases more than doubled from Tuesday to Wednesday, but the number of patients hospitalized and in ICU’s both declined from the day before.

The number of confirmed cases in Martin County is still 147. In Faribualt County now the total is 30 with 4 active cases.

The total in Watonwan County is 107 with 15 active cases.

 

The Iowa Department of Health reported 10 new deaths from the coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to 671.

The Health Department also reported 211 new cases on Wednesday.  Iowa’s total number of cases is 24,379.

A total of 234,404 people have been tested and 15,139 patients were recovering and no longer require isolation.

A total of 64 patients were listed in ICU’s across the state and 47 were on ventilators.
