FARIBAULT COUNTY HAS 4 NEW CASES. TOTAL CONFIRMED 1,220. ACTIVE 24. CASES BEYOND ISOLATION 1,194. COVID RELATED DEATHS 17.

Minnesota health officials reported on Wednesday 788 new cases of the coronavirus and 17 more deaths.
 According to the Minnesota Department of Health 6,507 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 4,064 of those deaths occurred in long term care facilities.
 A total of 486,434 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began last year.  Of those, 473,252 people no longer need to self isolate.

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 3 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 630 more Iowans have tested positive for the virus.
 The number of new positive tests reported for the time period brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 337,594.
 The data shows that so far, there have been 5,501 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state.  Of those deaths 2,181 were residents of long term care facilities.
 A vaccine dashboard is now available to keep track of the progress of COVID-19 vaccinations in the state.  As of March 2nd, 186,759 people have received both doses of the vaccine, while 349,744 people have received the first dose.
