FARIBAULT COUNTY HAS 3 NEW CASES. TOTAL CONFIRMED 1,206. ACTIVE 33. NEWLY HOSPITALIZED 1. CASES BEYOND ISOLATION PERIOD 1,172. COVID RELATED DEATHS 16.

Minnesota health officials reported on Thursday 996 new cases of the coronavirus and 7 more deaths.
 According to the Minnesota Department of Health 6,450 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 4,044 of those deaths occurred in long term care facilities.
 A total of 481,831 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began, of those, 468,498 people no longer need to self isolate.

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 23 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 652 more Iowans have tested positive for the coronavirus.
 The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 334,758.
 The data shows there have been 5,438 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths, 2,150 were residents of long term care facilities.
 A vaccine dashboard is now available from the Department of Health to keep track of the progress of COVID-19 vaccination in the state.  As of Thursday, 150,538 people have received both doses of the vaccine while 303,407 people have received the first dose.
