Minnesota health officials reported on Wednesday 761 new cases of the coronavirus and 9 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health 6,443 people have died because of the virus. A total of 4,040 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 480,845 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year. Of those, 467,969 people no longer need to self isolate.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 15 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 723 more Iowans have tests positive for the coronavirus.
The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number of individuals who have tested positive up to 334,106.
The data shows there have been 5,415 deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 2,149 were residents of long term care facilities.
