Minnesota health officials reported on Tuesday 586 new cases of the coronavirus and 6 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health 6,308 people have died because of the virus. A total of 3,977 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 469,254 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began last year. Of those 455,280 people no longer need to self isolate.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 35 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 713 new cases have been reported.
The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number of positive tests up to 325,379.
The data shows so far there have been 5,145 deaths from the coronavirus in the state. Of those deaths, 2,098 were residents of long term care facilities.
