Minnesota health Officials reported on Tuesday 1,335 new cases of the coronavirus and 13 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 5,724 people died because of the virus. A total of 3,660 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 438,867 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March of last year. Of those, 418,610 people no longer need to self isolate.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health shows 83 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 1,199 new cases have been reported.
The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number up to 298.065.
The data shows there have been 4,222 deaths from the virus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 1,711 were residents of long term care facilities.
As of Tuesday morning, there were 552 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state, a decrease of 3 from the previous day.
