Minnesota health officials reported 2,279 new cases of the coronavirus and 92 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 4,575 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 2,982 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 386,412 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began.  Of those, 356,384 people no longer need to self isolate.

 

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 14 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 1,986 new cases have been reported.

The number of new positive cases brings the total number of positive tests to 260,237.

The data shows there have been 3,354 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state since the pandemic began. Of those, 1,134 were residents of long term care facilities.

As of this morning, there are 776 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state, a decrease of 22 from the previous day.
