WATONWAN COUNTY HAS 18 NEW CASES. TOTAL CONFIRMED 882. ACTIVE 79. CURRENTLY LISTED AS HOSPITALIZED 8. TOTAL HOSPITALIZATIONS 46. CASES OUT ISOLATION 799. COVID RELATED DEATHS 4.

Minnesota Health Officials reported Wednesday 5,192 new cases of the coronavirus and 77 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 3,692 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 2,474 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 327,477 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began.  Of those 286,219 people no longer need to self isolate.

The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting the deaths of 22 more Iowans from COVID-19 and the positive tests of 2,964 more Iowans for the virus.

The new cases on Wednesday raise the total number of Iowans who have tested positive to 233,866.  Of those, the state reports 142,249 have recovered.

The 22 deaths raises the statewide total to 2,449.  Of those who have died, 1,075 were residents of long term care facilities.

There are currently 1,162 Iowans hospitalized with the virus, a decrease of 10 from Tuesday.
