Minnesota Health Officials reported 5,102 new coronavirus cases and 67 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, so far 3,010 people have died because of the virus. A total of 2,066 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 242,043 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began in March. Of those, 193,869 people no longer need to self isolate.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 40 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 3,896 new cases have been reported.
The number of new, positive tests brings the total number of positive tests to 194,479.
The data shows there have been 2,064 deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 961 were residents of long term care facilities. There are currently outbreaks at 94 long term care facilities in Iowa.
There are 1,527 patients hospitalized with the virus in Iowa, an increase of 17 from Tuesday. Of the hospitalized patients, 283 are in intensive care and 134 of those patients are on ventilators.
