Community Health and Human Services of Martin and Faribault County has reported 10 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus.
Seven new cases were reported in Martin County, none of the new cases are hospitalized, with 3 prior reported cases hospitalized. The total number of confirmed cases in Martin County is 557, with 36 active cases. 505 cases recovered. 16 Covid related deaths so far.
Three new cases were reported in Faribault County, their ages are 12, 24 and 31 years old. None of the new cases are hospitalized and one prior reported case is hospitalized. The County’s total number of confirmed cases is 190, with 24 active cases. 166 recovered.
Watonwan County has 551 confirmed cases. 6 active. 541 cases out of isolation and 4 Covid related deaths so far.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported on Wednesday 1,214 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases in Minnesota is 115,763.
There have been 29 additional deaths associated with the virus, putting the state’s death total at 2,174. Deaths among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,535.
Of those tested, 103,830 patients no long need to isolated and more than 8,500 people have needed to be hospitalized in Minnesota since the pandemic began in March.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show hospitalizations from COVID-19 continue to rise, reaching another daily record.
A total of 1,180 COVID-19 cases were reported on Wednesday, bringing the total number of positive cases to 101,812.
Eleven more Iowans have died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths since the pandemic began to 1,492. Of those deaths, 753 were residents of long term care facilities.
Of the people who have tested positive, 79,049 are considered recovered. A total of 873,190 individuals have been tested in the state.
As of Wednesday morning, there are 473 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state. Of those patients, 106 are in intensive care with 46 of them on ventilators.
