The Community Testing Event that took place in Farimont, MN from October 6-8, 2020 resulted in 555 completed tests. Among the individuals tested, 17 tested positive, or 3.1%.
Of the 17 individuals who tested positive, 7 were residents of Faribault (1 case) or Martin Counties (6 cases). Those cases have been reported through our normal daily case updates.
The other ten cases have been sent to their respective county/state of residence for reporting.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported Tuesday 1,150 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases in Minnesota is 114,574.
There have been 7 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the state’s death total at 2,151. Deaths among cases that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increase to 1,524.
A total of 102,624 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.
The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 17 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 580 new cases have been reported.
The number of new positive COVID-19 tests brings the state’s total of positive tests to 100,632.
Of the people who have tested positive 78,057 have recovered.The data shows there have been 1,481 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far. Of those deaths, 747 were residents of long term care facilities.As of Tuesday morning, there are 463 hospitalized with the virus in the state. Of those patients, 114 are in intensive care with 44 of them on ventilators.
