The Minnesota Department of Health reported Monday 982 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The total number of cases in Minnesota is 104,799.
There have been 3 additional deaths associated with COVID-19, putting the state’s death total at 2,083. Deaths among residents that resided in long term care or assisted living facilities increased to 1,487.
A total of 94,416 people have recovered statewide and no longer require isolation.
The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting the deaths of 7 more Iowans from COVID-19 and positive tests of another 356 Iowans.
A total of 92,901 Iowans have now tested positive for the virus, of them 71,798 are considered recovered by the state.
COVID-19 has now killed 1,388 Iowans, of those who have died, 684 were residents of long term care facilities. There are currently 52 outbreaks at Iowa long term care facilities affecting 1,160 individuals.
