The Martin County Board Tuesday:

Approved a Life-Size Veterans Memorial Sculpture Commission Agreement with Brodin Studios of Kimball, Minnesota; and approve and authorize Martin County to pay $20,000 down payment to commission the artist; and that the Martin County Veterans Memorial Committee will reimburse Martin County for the commission down payment from Martin County Veterans Memorial Legacy Grant funds.

Approved a resolution accepting the State of Minnesota Snowmobile Safety Enforcement Grant in the amount of $4,138.00 in each fiscal year, 2020 and 2021; and authorize the Board Chair and the Sheriff’s designated representative to sign the grant agreement on behalf of Martin County.

Accepted the 2019-2020 Faribault/Martin/Watonwan SHIP Wellness Mini-Grant award in the amount of $1,090.00.

Approved a resolution approving Martin County’s application for funding from the Voting Equipment Grant.

Approved the Fairmont Photo Press as Official County Newspaper for 2020.

Approved a resolution authorizing execution of Grant Agreement from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for Martin County’s Youth Intervention Program effective January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021, in the amount of $90,000.

Approved and accepted donations received in 2019 for the Martin County Victim Witness Program

and Martin County Veterans Service Office.
