The Martin County Board on Tuesday :
Approved a recommendation from the Martin County Parks/Trail Committee to open Cedar-Hansen and Perch Lake Parks for camping, effective today. Following new rules, guidelines, and protocol in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Np group camping will be allowed. Just one camper or one tent per site. 50 foot spacing between campers. Also, no NEW reservations for shelter houses for parties and other gatherings will be accepted.
Approved low bid on CSAH 54 Bituminous surface, Bituminous shoulders, Aggregate shoulders; and CSAH 9 from CSAH 54 Bituminous surface, Aggregate shoulders to Duininck Construction in the amount of $3,330,578.08.
Authorized MIS Director to purchase WatchGuard Total Security Suite from Computer Technology Solutions in the amount of $15,877.00.
Received and filed the Southern Minnesota Tourism Association’s CY2021 Budget Allocation Request in the amount of $.05 per capita.
Allowed exception to eligible participants and project requirements for new construction of Single and Multi-Family Housing per Martin County’s Tax Abatement Policy. Building permit date must fall within thirty (30) days following the March 17, 2020 adoption of Martin County’s Tax Abatement Policy.
Approved Board Chair to sign resolution accepting the donation received in the amount of $2,000.00 for the Martin County Victim Services Program.
Set Public Hearing date and time to consider Martin County’s proposed Five Year Capital Improvement Plan. Public Hearing will be held on July 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room – Martin County Courthouse.
