BLUE EARTH AREA INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT DR. JERRY JENSEN SENT AN E-MAIL TO PARENTS THURSDAY MORNING INFORMING THEM OF A THREAT OF VIOLENCE AT THE BLUE EARTH AREA HIGH SCHOOL.

IN THE MESSAGE, THE SUPERINTENDENT SAID: “I am sending you this to make you aware of an incident that occurred late in the day on Wednesday, May 1.” BEA administrators and the Faribault County Sheriff’s Department received a report of threats of violence at the high school. Administrators and law enforcement acted on the report swiftly, and the party involved was taken into custody. I assure you there is no current threat to the safety of our students.”

THE INCIDENT, WHICH INVOLVED JUVENILES, REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
