High School Baseball:
Fairmont took down St. James Area 3–1, while Cleveland outplayed Martin County West 9–3. Blue Earth Area fell to JCC 11–2, and Madelia blanked Heron Lake-Okabena-Fulda with a 10–0 shutout.

Softball Action:
Windom edged out Fairmont in a close one, 3–2. JCC ran up the scoreboard on Blue Earth Area, 33–0. Madelia also showed up strong, topping HL-O-F 16–6.

Golf Scores:
At the boys’ meet in St. Peter, the home team posted a 321 to lead the field. Fairmont finished with a 377, with Klay Beemer and Macklain Anderson turning in the team’s best scores.

National Sports

NBA Playoffs:
The Thunder now lead the Timberwolves 2–0 after a 118–103 win, thanks to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s big night. Meanwhile, the Knicks collapsed late against the Pacers in Game 1, blowing a 14-point lead in the final minutes.

NFL News:
Tom Brady is reportedly eyeing a comeback—for the Olympics. At 47, he’s considering flag football for the 2028 LA Games. Patrick Mahomes is intrigued too, but says he’s not sure how well his skills fit the no-contact game.

NHL Playoffs:
Florida Panthers shut out the Hurricanes 5–0, taking a commanding 2–0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.

WNBA:
Caitlin Clark’s three-point streak finally ended at 42 games, but the Indiana Fever still got the win over Atlanta.

Other Headlines:
The Buffalo Bills will be the stars of HBO’s Hard Knocks this year. And in college golf, Florida State’s Mirabel Ting and Luke Clanton were named the top collegiate players of the year.
