Community Health and Human Services of Martin and Faribault County have reported 15 new laboratory confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

Seven new cases were reported in Martin County, their ages range from 26-75.  None of the cases are currently hospitalized.  The total number of confirmed cases in Martin County is 626, with 34 active cases.

Eight of the new cases were reported in Faribault County, their ages range from 32-64 and 1 of the new cases is currently hospitalized.  The number of confirmed cases in Faribault County is up to 251, with 34 active cases.

WATONWAN COUNTY HAS 582 confirtmed cases. ACTIVE CASES 5. CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED 1. OUT OF ISOLATION 573.

 

Minnesota Health Officials reported 2,872 new coronavirus cases and 32 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health a total of 2,419 people have died because of the virus.  A total of 1,689 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 142,311 cases have been confirmed in the state since the pandemic began in March.  Of those, 124,379 people no longer need to self isolate.

 

More than 600 Iowans are now hospitalized due to COVID-19 and another 2,469 Iowans have tested positive for the virus.  The deaths of 11 more Iowans from the virus are being reported as well as the pandemic continues to worsen across the state.

A total of 121,913 Iowans have now tested positive for the coronavirus.  Of those, 91,401 are considered recovered by the state.

There were 605 Iowans currently hospitalized who have tested positive for the virus.  That is the most at one point in time since the pandemic began.  There are currently 135 patients in the ICU and 56 on ventilators.

A total of 1,691 have now died from COVID-19.  Of those who have died, 906 were residents of long term care facilities.
