The Minnesota Department of Heath reports that 23 more Minnesota Residents have died of COVID-19. The deaths reported on Thursday raise the state’s total to 508, 407 of the fatalities are individuals who resided in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
The Health Department also reported 786 new confirmed cases, brining Minnesota’s total to 9,365.
As of Thursday, 435 patients were hospitalized with 182 in intensive care and 5,308 patients have recovered and no longer need isolation.
No new confirmed cases were reported in Martin County. Total remains at 111 with 65 active cases and no new hospitalizations. The number of cases in Faribault County is 7.
The Iowa Department of Health reported 12 new deaths from the coronavirus, that brings the state’s total to 231. Linn County has had the most deaths with 55, Polk County was second with a total of 45 deaths.
The report also said that 655 new cases were reported on Thursday, bringing the state’s total to 11,059.
A total of 63,171 people have been tested and 4,266 patients have recovered and no longer require isolation.
No new cases were reported in Kossuth or Winnebago Counties.
