Minnesota Health Officials reported on Tuesday 1,612 new cases of the coronavirus and 18 more deaths.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 5,461 people have died because of the virus. A total of 3,513 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.
A total of 425,261 cases have been confirmed in Minnesota since the pandemic began. Of those, 406,667 people no longer need to self isolate.
The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting the COVID-19 deaths of 7 more Iowans and the positive tests of another 1,813 Iowans.
A total of 3,999 Iowans have now died from COVID-19. Of those who have died 1,139 were residents of long term care facilities.
The total number of Iowans who have tested positive since the pandemic began now stands at 286,679.
As of Tuesday, there were 582 Iowans hospitalized who’ve tested positive, an increase of 11 from Monday.
