FARIBAULT COUNTY HAS 5 NEW CASES. TOTAL CONFIRMED 336. ACTIVE 49. CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED 3. RECOVERED 287.

WATONWAN COUNTY HAS 6 NEW CASES. TOTAL CONFIRMED 635. ACTIVE 19. CURRENTLY KNOWN HOSPITALIZED 1. OUT OF ISOLATION 612.

Minnesota Health Officials reported on Thursday 7,228 new coronavirus cases and 39 more deaths.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 2,793 people have died because of the virus, 1,921 of those deaths have occurred in long term care facilities.

A total of 201,795 cases have been confirmed in the state since March, of those, 159,467 people no longer need to self isolate.

The latest numbers from the Iowa Department of Public Health show 30 more Iowans have died from COVID-19 and 4,337 new cases have been reported.  The state is also seeing a record high number of long term care facilities where outbreaks have been reported.

The number of new positive tests reported brings the total number of positive tests to 170,358.  Of the people who have tested positive 105,357 have recovered.

The data shows there have been 1,928 total deaths from the coronavirus in the state so far.  Of those deaths 916 were residents of long term care facilities.  There are currently outbreaks at 100 long term care facilities in Iowa.

There are 1,208 hospitalized patients with the virus in the state, a daily record high.  Of the hospitalized patients, 215 are in intensive care and 101 of those patients are on ventilators.
